Best Language Study – Privacy Policy

At Best Language Study, it is very important to us that the data of our program participants and host families is kept confidential and secure. In general, we only use your data to the extent you have agreed to or as necessary to provide our services. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is thus derived from Art. 6(1)a) and Art. 6(1)b) DSGVO.

Our data protection declaration is intended to inform you about what data we collect from you and for what purpose we use it. In particular, this concerns the use of personal data and special personal data by the responsible provider: Best Language Study.
The data protection declaration is based on the legal principles of data protection, in particular the Basic Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) and the BDSG.

Collection and use of personal data

What are personal data?

Personal data is individual information about personal or factual circumstances that can be attributed to a specific person. In the context of our website, this is mainly personal information such as your name, contact details or IP address.

Contact form or brochure order

If a user contacts us via our contact form or orders brochures, we ask for personal information such as name, address or e-mail address. Best Language Study uses the data from the contact forms to process your questions and suggestions and to send you the requested information.
Best Language Study will use your personal information when ordering brochures or using the contact form only within Best Language Study and will not share it with third parties without your explicit consent.

Automatic data storage when visiting the website

Whenever the website is accessed, usage data of the respective website visitors is transmitted by the respective Internet browser and stored in log files, so-called server log files. These data are:

  • URL of origin from which the user came to the page called up
  • Name of the service provider through which our website is accessed
  • Date and time of the retrieval
  • Amount of data transmitted
  • Information on files or information retrieved

The main purpose in collecting this data is to help us to ensure that our website functions without technical problems. In order to improve our offer and our service, we may also compile usage statistics, which we only use for internal purposes.


Cookies are small text files that our website places on your computer via your web browser. You receive pseudonymised data without personal reference. On the one hand, cookies serve the user-friendliness of websites and thus the users (e.g. by storing login data). On the other hand, they serve to record statistical data on website use and to be able to analyse them for the purpose of improving our offer.

Integration of third party services and content

We use the service or content offerings of third parties to enrich our online offerings, for example, through fonts, embedded videos or other plug-ins. In order to implement this, the third-party providers must process the IP address of the users, as this is the only way they can send the content to the corresponding browser. Third party providers may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as “web beacons”) for statistical or marketing purposes. This enables them to collect information about visitor traffic to the respective site. The information can be stored pseudonymously as cookies on the user’s device.


Social Media Plugins are the direct connection between a website and social networks such as Instagram or Facebook. They are the easiest way to share content with other users on social media platforms.

We use plugins of the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, US on our pages.
Via this plugin, which can be recognized by the Facebook logo or the Like Button, a connection between your browser and the Facebook server is established. Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited our site and user profiles of the users can be created. Facebook can only assign this information to your account if you are logged in to your Facebook account. We have no influence on the extent of the data that Facebook collects with the help of the plugins. We use on our sites plugins from, represented by Google Inc. through Youtube, LLC, Cherry Ave., USA is operated.

This plugin establishes a connection between your browser and the YouTube server. YouTube gets the information that you have visited our site and user profiles can be created. YouTube can only associate this information with your account if you are logged into your YouTube account. When you use these plugins, such as clicking/starting a video or sending a comment, this information is also associated with your account. We have no influence on the amount of data that YouTube collects using the plugins.  • Instagram

On our site are plugins of the social network Instagram, offered by Instagram Inc, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA. This plugin establishes a connection between your browser and the Instagram server. It tells Instagram that you have visited our site and allows them to create user profiles. Instagram can only associate this information with your account if you are logged into your Instagram account. We have no control over the amount of data that Instagram collects using the plugins. E-Mail Tracking

To be able to determine whether the e-mails we send are also read, we use so-called tracking/counting pixels. These are mini-graphics that are automatically loaded when the e-mail is called up and allow us to determine whether an e-mail has been read or deleted.

Use of analysis programs and tracking tools

On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO) we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google LLC (“Google”). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the website by the user is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google is certified under the Privacy-Shield-Agreement and thus offers a guarantee to comply with the European data protection law ( Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate the use of our website by users, to compile reports on the activities within this website and to provide us with further services associated with the use of this website and the internet. In doing so, pseudonymous user profiles of the users can be created from the processed data. We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymisation. This means that the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser is not merged with other Google data. • Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a service for the integration of advertisements from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google AdSense uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of the use of the website. Collection and transmission of information:
With the help of the Google +1 button you can publish information worldwide. With the Google +1 button you and other users receive personalized content from Google and our partners. Google stores both the information that you provided for a +1 content and information about the page you viewed when you clicked on +1. Your +1 may be displayed as clues along with your profile name and photo in Google services, such as search results or your Google Profile, or elsewhere on websites and ads on the web.
Google records information about your +1 activity in order to improve the Google services for you and others. In order to use the Google +1 button, you must have a public Google profile that is visible worldwide and must contain at least the name chosen for the profile. This name is used in all Google services. In some cases, this name may also replace another name that you used when sharing content through your Google Account. The identity of your Google Profile may be displayed to users who know your email address or have other identifying information about you.
Use of information collected:
In addition to the uses described above, the information you provide will be used in accordance with the applicable Google Privacy Policy. Google may publish aggregated statistics about +1 activity of users or share these statistics with users and partners, such as publishers, advertisers, or affiliated websites.

Revocation and deletion

The permission to use your data for the above mentioned purposes can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
The user also has the right, within the framework of the legal requirements, to demand the correction or deletion of the data stored about him/her at Best Language Study at any time. A request for deletion may not include data for billing and accounting purposes.
In addition, your personal data will be deleted when the storage is no longer necessary to fulfil our contractual services or when the purpose of the storage no longer applies and there are no legal retention periods to prevent the deletion.

Right of access to information

Every user has the right to demand information from us about what data we have stored about him or her, for what purpose, where this data comes from and to which recipients or categories of recipients this data may be passed on.
